I dont think theres going to be any solution for DACA until or unless they kill DACA which does not sound like it will be killed. So applying for AP via DACA is just waste of time of USCIS. I think they should make it combo card for DACA recipient so they dont have to send a separate application which will save lost of USCIS time and resources.
I know they make lots of money from AP application but they can make an optional when renewing DACA if person wants a combo card or just EAD. with combo card they can increase fee but at least it will save lots of USCIS time and resources.

Daca will go to the SC in October and there is a good chance they will end it.

I think it’s done for. Every recent ruling they’ve done has been so backwards

we are seeing this cat and mouse game ever since daca has been created. its well over decade old program so yes we all have our own opinions and predictions about it.

so opinion is that combo card will be a great option for many Dacca recipient and USCIS.

Wishful thinking. It would be nice along with maybe 4 year cards but daca is on back burner now. I doubt we are of much importance to democrats anymore.

anything more than 2 years is definitely better. honestly they should make it 5 years like some other categories they did it now.

I maybe wrong about this but as far political party im doubt USCIS/DHS needs political party's involvement on this to make it combo card. so if they dont need party's involvement then it does not matter if political party cares or not.

I think USCIS/DHS should consider this option to make it easy for them and daca recipient until or unless DACA reach to the end. end of the day they are still making money from it and can kill two birds with one stone.

Idk about technicality but there is just no political will to do anything that would benefit daca only. USCIS/DHS wouldn’t do such thing unless they are instructed by their political bosses.
