MCALLEN, Texas (AP) — Migrants who were temporarily allowed to live in the United States by using a Biden-era online appointment app have been told to leave the country “immediately,” officials said Monday. It was unclear how many beneficiaries would be affected.

More than 900,000 people were allowed in the country using the CBP One app since January 2023. They were generally allowed to remain in the United States for two years with authorization to work under a presidential authority called parole.

“Canceling these paroles is a promise kept to the American people to secure our borders and protect national security,” the Department of Homeland Security media affairs unit said in response to questions.

Authorities confirmed termination notices were sent to CBP One beneficiaries but did not say how many. They were urged to voluntary self-deport using the same app they entered on, which has been renamed CBP Home.

“It’s time for you to abandon the United States,” the Department of Homeland Security wrote to a Honduran family that entered the U.S. at the end of last year. The Associated Press reviewed the email received Sunday.

The Biden administration severely mishandled this situation by allowing thousands of potentially non-vetted immigrants to enter the country, tarnishing the reputation of all immigrant groups. These individuals had made it clear that they did not come here to work or make any positive contributions to the country.

To add insult to injury, the Biden administration provided them with free housing, a monthly spending fee, and other benefits while every other American was struggling to make ends meet and the cherry on the top was the murder of Laken Riley. It is no surprise why they were defeated in the elections. They really let this situation get out of hand.

Bro, if you look at it in a negative way. We should be thankful for the millions of illegals that they let in the last 5 years.

We arent a priority anymore like we were in 2016. We've been buried so deep they forgot about us. Lmao.

Before getting new illegal immigrants, take care of the ones you already have. Stop rewarding failed countries like Venezuela Haiti Cuba and Nicaragua.

It was such a self own and insane that they allowed this to go for as long as it did. Though I do think that they're gonna spend a lot of time and resources hunting down these 900k and ultimately leave a lot of people alone.
