I think if Miller were to be fired from his position we'd see some positive traction. After all, they almost came to an agreement except at the last moment they cowardly backed out. What probably will happen is that in 2027, trump will propose a comprehensive immigration bill that codifies much of his administration’s immigration policies. How harsh the bill will be will be up to him.

In exchange he’ll offer dreamers citizenship. How serious he is, who knows. If he’s serious then you’ll get an immigration bill that democrats will vote for which will dramatically change the immigration landscape for the next 30+ years. But if it fails, he’ll blame Dems and probably terminate DACA once and for all.
