Longer I-765 Approval times

This was from someone who made an inquiry with their congressman regarding their delayed I-765. The response said that the processing time was 7.5 months. Has anyone with a recent renewal experienced something similar? I do not have a way to validate this, but I do know that things are taking longer than past renewals.
