I for one will not support this.

Farmers need AgJobs...blah blah blah...ever hear of human capital? America needed DREAM FAR more economically speaking than AgJobs and nobody cared.

DREAM candidates and AgJobs candidates are very different people and that's why these two are supported by very different Senators. All I wanna see is if Specter votes for this because if he does he's going on my permanent moron list.

Remember most of the food in this country is grown by corporations not family farmers. They do have great lobby power. I havn't seen too many raids on corporate fields.

What makes you think we are superior to ag workers? Just because we were fortunate enough to get an education does not make us more entitled to anything. I'm sorry but some people in here are just selfish. Why do some of you go into a " if not me, then not you either" mentality? Why not think "if not me, then you" Be happy for them, if Ag Jobs passes. Look at it on the bright side, we will have more people that will eventually vote on our side.

Our turn will come. But don't think that everyone has to stay in the same situation just because DREAM did not pass.

Our turn will come!

TIKVA is right. Most of the farm raids occurred on private farmers with their own fields. ICE's raids would be shut down immediately, if they raided Cargill's or Archer Midland's farms.

i believe he will vote against it. Remember last year he blocked the House leadership from attaching enforcement only bills when he was judiciary chairman on the basis of it will take away incentive for CIR?

The agricultural industry needs undocumented labor. They can't import more workers because the seasonal visas are always few and far between and there are very few Americans lining up to take their place. Its not just the wages either because not enough Americans want to toil in the fields the entire day.

With high skilled workers, which presumably DREAM students would become, the US can import skilled workers using the current system. I agree with lilbawler in that DREAM would only really affect people in our situation and other groups who care about undocumented people. Agjobs would affect a crucial industry in desperate need for more laborers.

It's not hypocritical. The two legislations don't have anything in common. Why am I gonna support a bill that cares only about the price of lettuce?

These people are in the same situation as ours, without any documents at all.

How the hell is the Dream Act suppose to pass if we dont have any unity with fellow immigrants?? how is it going to pass if we keep thinking like this?
