YES, I agree 100%.

Nick, is there any way you can allow someone else to get some admin access so they can modify the main page sections? We could really benefit from putting the FAQs or some quotes from the Times and the Journal on the front page.

I nominate this as the number one priority for the site right now.
I second this suggestion.
The Times and WSJ quotes are a great idea.
There is still a tub load of people who are misinformed about the dream act and a FAQ section can very much help in getting the correct message across.

These are a little misleading because our traffic typically rises when DREAM is being considered.
Check out google trends when people search " dream act'

http://www.google.com/trends?q=dream...ate=ytd&sort=0

Still though, we are popular

I think it's the lack of action that is leading us to bicker with each other. If we could at least start by "getting our house in order", it would give us a jump start toward starting [and seeing through] other projects...

Again we should do this ourselves and present it to nick, yes we can talk about it but we also have to do it.

I was thinking that we don't need Nick to give anybody the password. We can have a group of us work on the HTML or CSS web pages and just have Nick upload them to the server. We can have a whole new layout and constantly change the HTML or CSS document and all Nick would have to do is upload the changes...

EDIT: I have some experience with webpages but am in no way a professional; I'm willing to put my two cents in if some other people are willing to cooperate.

that is true mariob, even for my other much older sites, i have interested friends do the work and just upload on the server.

alright, first we need to ascertain any changes that are required in navigation and additional resources that we can pool.
*that presentation on american refugee children
*a list of our principles
*education-related information
*other legal information such as section 245i, and whatever is in the works like CIR.
*compilation of research papers that are on our side; academic papers are the best, seriously. they are more thoroughly researched and involve methodologies that are more meticulous than think tank reports or newspaper articles.
*a blog for newspaper articles. anyone of us core members can register and post away the latest information so it does not rely on one person. wordpress is awesome for this.

I can focus more after I take care of my exams and related crap in the next week.

youaretooawesome - I got your PM, I will let you know some things that I know about ad revenue and such.

If Nick doesn't want to give access to the site, he can try placing an iFrame and someone trust-worthy with good HTML/CSS skills can host if off their server or something so they can easily modify it, and it will show in the iFrame section of the site. That's if no access is granted.

Thats a great idea mariob, sadly web design isn't my field, but I can help with other stuff after the next week also. Seems you guys do it the good old fashioned way with html. Have you and MAgraduate thought about using Dreamweaver and the like?

Dreamweaver is an HTML editor and is the program I use to build my work's webpage. Yes, HTML with its messy tables, is on its way out and is being overtaken by CSS [on which I'm still trying to become more proficient].

We need people who can DESIGN and people who can DEVELOP the webpage...

Yes, CSS rocks ... my shortbacks on design are I have virtually no creative ability but we don't need flashy stuff, we need a site that can be well-indexed by search engines and is well-navigational.
