UWD is full of shit. RACA is very similar to the DREAM Act. The objections based on those policy reasons are puffery. UWD opposed it because Curbelo is a Republican. UWD does not talk shit about the DREAM Act, now does it? RACA and the DREAM Act are very similar, yet the DREAM Act gets a shit load of support because it is introduced by Durbin, whom I respect. I just do not appreciate UWD.

Yes it would only require 48 months of gainful employment but I think that's after the conditional status and when you apply for permanent status. So as long as you continue working while under the conditional status you should be fine

This is less strict than requirements of DREAM Act, which always required an Associate Degree or two years toward a 4 year degree (or military enlistment) during the conditional permanent resident period.

I read it as DHS gives 5 years of conditional status and within 1 year we must enroll in higher education. And to get 5 more years we need to be done with school

Lol even if you get married and apply for adjustment of status (and you have been married less than 2 years when you apply) you will still be given conditional status for 2 years after which you will have to apply again to remove the conditions and become LPR. Joining the armed forces would be a faster route

I think you just have to be working for 48 months.

This is great news. I can't believe people on this forum are actually bitching about this. Just six weeks ago, we thought we were gonna lose our EADs. People are quick to forget.
