Well I am not sure how to determine if it is significant, she isn't working so all her expenses are paid by me, pretty much I pay for 2 people. I am not looking to lie about anything either. I have been paying taxes since I could remember they can pull up all my information using my SSN. I am just worried they will say.."well you are making money already so why give you a ead" but there is a risk of working the way I do.... which would all go away if they give me the EAD.

If I don't get a answer today, then I will talk to my Lawyer tomorrow. I sent her all my income details paychecks and tax returns. I will update you tomorrow once I speak to her. I just wanted to sleep peacefully with a answer tonight...hence my post.

FWIW, VISAS B1/B2, border crossing/pre-laser have an alien number on there.

B2 visas do not have alien registration numbers at all. That is a fallacy.

'pre laser border crosser visa do (expiration 2007)' 1st gen. 'laser b1/b2' don't; I imagine current ones don't either.

I honestly don't know what b1/b2's were called back in the day, I think it says border crosser on there. Perhaps calling them b1/b2 may be wrong, but I know b1/b2 ended up replacing them.

I think "Alien Registration number" and "Alien number" are two different things.I've only ever seen the former associated usually with green cards and Ali is right I also have an A number.I'm assuming A numbers go with non-immigrant status.

It's going to be interesting what EWIs are assigned when they receive their notices of action.
