On our application we read stories that AP was approved within a month for people so for when we would like to travel, we put may 1 for a week of travel. However may came and went so did June so did July ... Took 5 months so you can request a day to travel but you might not get it
also they only gave us 3 weeks to travel & be back once it was appeoved. On the AP document it only states a return date that you have to be back in the unites states.

Yup! The day its approved you can go but you NEED to take the documents with you so don't leave until you receive them
