Since I will be leaving by the time I am 18, I will not have any ban. Hopefully being in college down there I can try to get a Border Crossing Card to visit family and friends since it could be enough evidence for them to know that I would want to leave the US after my visit. I will then try to get a student visa after a year.

If the dream act passes while I am over here...well that sucks lol. If the CIR passes, my parents will still be here and they can apply. If they get the green card, they can petition me and I'm back over here.

If neither the CIR or Dream Act pass, my little brother can petition me (he's a USC) when he's 21 and I'm 28 (12 years from now).

I am also developing this huge idea on how people discuss things they want to talk about on a website. I swear it has never been thought of like this and I want to keep it secret for now. I hope to make some income out of this. If I am successful enough, I can invest $500,000 in an american company that will create jobs and I can apply for green card.

I can also win the Nobel Prize for Awesomeness and apply from fame for a green card lol (jk). Maybe I start going out with the girl I've liked for a while and if that turns into "true love" maybe we make something happen there.

What do you guys think? I think I have a lot of possibilities.
How about you turn that into a movie script and when we all make up the majority and out balance the racist people we will come watch it. Then you can make even more money lol.

son, if you have $500,000 to invest, why would you need to come to the USA in the first place? What kind of life could you have in Tijuana if you had a half a million dollars...think about it.

If I could do it all over again I would've applied as an international student. Some of my international student pals were lucky enough to get jobs in the states, while others are working in American owned companies in Mexico with strong possibilities of being sponsored into the US. Not to mention you get to work and drive without any hassle as you study. Some universities offer in-state tuition to Mexican nationals if they are border towns (I think El paso tx does). Continue grad school and the possibilites of gaining status get even better.

After 8 years of what-ifs, international students have had it better than us potential dreamers.

PS: to get border crosser's visa you must provide proof of studies well beyond the university level. Not hard to obtain (escuela abierta) but something to keep an eye out for.

I've also known of students who've confessed to living here in the states for x years and been granted student visas; this is however a riskier approach.

I honestly think you need to think about this well, because immigration is not so black and white. I myself am thinking of leaving this country, but unlike you and I past the age of 18 1/2

No...to get border crosser's visa you must provide proof that you have no intention of staying in the USA...I have helped my cousin fill out her application.

Sorry, but judging by your other topic about how easy it may be to obtain a visa, I don't think you have thought anything out well.

As for internet businesses (excluding internet shops), it's rare for novel ideas to catch any eye. Most of the most visited websites according to Alexa have built on ideas that have already been established.

All the luck to you making 1/2 a million dollars though...

Not making that entirely lol. Maybe a loan I can get. The investment of course does not go away. I could even make the money back then pay back the loan.

The only thing I missed out on the student visa was that you don't get AB 540. Other than that, it's very possible

Yeah, and I have filled out my own application. You still are required to provide proof of studies before you got into college. Whether the immigration officer reviewing your case checks those things, it's an entirely different thing.

In retrospect well beyond was meant as way before...

Uhm.. I'm starting to think that you truly are naive as WhiteNoise has said... You're only 18 and you're thinking of fantasy business ventures and visa trips that won't happen...

Just like you thought it would be easy to obtain a visa, it's not easy to obtain loans. You have probably no credit at all. To borrow enough money to be a significant investor takes much credit. Did you really think this through? Since you're 18 and jobless, assuming that you work scrap jobs to save up that 1/2 million, we'll assume that you'll borrow $250,000. You'd have to pay around $5,000 a month to make sure payments are made timely... and investors don't see immediate gains...

In addition, how do you know you won't lose money from your investment? Lastly, any company that wields enough power to accept a 1/2 investment from someone who probably will obtain most of it through loans will not accept it.

If you really can make a significant portion of the 1/2 million through work.. you should probably just attend school. It's a good human investment...
