banbenbin, just say you gotta pay for your own tuitions, if you have a GF/BF say you're planning on saving up to move in together, if you're living on your own just say you have bills to pay.

Do we really need our select service card because I haven't apply for one and just to be safe how much money would you need to have not to qualify for a work permit. I'm an over stayer and I have my passport do I need to have my birth certificate too.

If you haven't applied for Selective Service and you're still under 26, apply now. Reason: not registering stops the government from thinking you have good moral character. That's going to be ugly once you try applying for citizenship because you won't be eligible until you're 31 if you don't register.

If you haven't paid taxes in the past, pay your back taxes. This is easier to understand: they got Capone on tax evasion, not murder.

for the selective service signup, do you do the registration at the post office or can you bring home your application and do it from there?

About the selective services card. I mailed in the form like I was supposed to, but never got anything back in the mail.

What should I do? I can't exactly check the status of my registration online as it requires a social security number.

I have a 10 year passport which expired last year. I can get a new one easily but I think that the expired one could be of use. What do you guys think I should do?
