Oh thanks guys for your responses that makes me feel a bit better. I have been reading the drivers manual for days now... I'm just waiting for my bank statements and school transcript to arrive so I can go back there. Hopefully the next lady I get won't be a jerk like the first one. Lol anyway, good thing it's most common sense. i will let you guys know what my questions were like once I'm done with it. Wish me luck!

All the best with your permit exam, I'm sure you'll be fine. I recently took mine, as long as you study the manual and have a general idea of the rules of the road, obtaining and keeping a license, and so on, you'll be fine. The test also tells you whether the question you answered is right or not, so that you can have an idea of how well you're doing during the test, which is great. Did you try taking your I-765 approval letter or your DACA approval letter as your proof of address? I ask because technically, any mail addressed to you from a Federal or State agency can be used as proof of address.

I've taken the exam twice. One in high school and the other one when I went to get my permit. The questions are common sense. They have questions about yielding, signs, and others such as "How many feet away do you put your turning signal? Answer: 100ft."What do you do when you enter a route/highway? Answer: You accelerate" and those type of questions. Common sense is what you need like in the practice exams were things like this: "What you shouldn't do while drivng? Answer: Texting, applying make-up, shaving, etc." "What is the first thing you should do when you buy your car? A. Wash it B. Put gas C. Register and insure it <<Obviously the answer.

The exam is really easy very common sense. Btw I'm from NJ and here you take it on the computer and there are 50 questions I believe. Good luck!

Yeah I took those letters as my proof of address and this lady was being a jerk saying that they accept letters from any federal agency EXCEPT from immigration. She was just being a bitch. So I decided to just drop it and wait for my bank statements and transcript. I don't wanna run the risk of having to deal with another idiot like her. Oh well. :/

Ok, I see what you're saying. I also used an original transcript as proof of address, I'm sure you'll be fine when you go with your transcripts. I wish you all the best!
