Who cares what it is, as long as its some sort of a green card that allows us to live freely, drive safely, and TRAVEL abroad that's all I really care about.

Speaking of, is there anything about those who have pending immigration applications? And what about those who have pending applications (like I-130) but are currently unable to adjust because of 10 yr ban or whatnot? Is it a different process?

Just wondering, since technically some of those petitions/applications have been 'processing' for many years.. (10 for mine!)

I agree I think it means if you already have DACA then you don't have to have RPI and get residency, but I guess once it passes they will clearly define it.... if it makes it through the House...

We have been over this for the longest time time. Streamlined can be mean anything. What we assumed a few months back was that instead of having us do the whole application process again like with DACA. Either we just submit a form to transfer to RPI or it gets grandfathered in.

The 5 years with RPI then green card then citizenship applies to both DACA dreamers and non DACA dreamers. The process of getting RPI in the first place are different. Realistic speaking confitional status and RPI are not that different. And most people who just want to drive to work or travel outside are more than happy with it.

Ianus pointed something interesting the last time we talked a out this. And that was according to the constitution you can't treat different immigration groups in different matters when it comes to this so you can't give a group 5 year wait and another group 10. Or something like this.

Either way, what we concluded was that the Senates bill as of then was too broad and was made not defining stuff. They made it so it can be interpreted differently easily.
