So, please spare yourself the financial lessons. It's easier said than done!
Sorry, today is not the day to expect sympathy for having DACA and not renewing it.

Do you really think having that type of mentality will get you far?

There's something called "karma". It bites you when you least expect it. Good luck!

The way I look at it, Karma (or any other superstition) owes me. What's holding me back isn't my mentality but rather by pure luck, someone decided to put an age limit on DACA 2 years ago so it didn't apply to me. I would have had the money order in hand and ready to pay it 2 years ago. But hey, that's life.

I'm also glad to see other Dreamers use their new lease on life and do something with it. What I don't have patience for is seeing people get opportunities without working for it and then complain about it. It's not tough to save $500 in one and a half years with a work permit. If you think it's tough then it's time to pack it up and move back to your village. to complain about it is spitting in the faces of those of us who for the last 2 years have been waiting for a change in the rule and when we finally get it, have the rugs swept from under us.

"good luck" to you too.

Here's what I don't understand. Life is already a b!tch and to top it off you have people who can't just say, "It is what it is" and move on. They have to spit in someone's face, per se, and say they deserve what's coming to them.

You know what? If I make a mistake, maybe I want to vent about it or let my frustrations out. However, what doesn't entitle you or anyone else, is to bash on someone's mistakes. So, I do sympathize for the OP because she's human. What I don't appreciate is someone thinking it's OK to say whatever they please. I've been in this forum too long to know the likes of you and trust me, it don't shake me one bit!

Please, I don't need your "good luck", I have luck. Just remember: "Treat others how you want to be treated."

Listen, I'm not here to argue with anyone. A little sympathy can go a long way. We're all in the same boat. I'm sorry you weren't as lucky the first time around. Maybe your luck has changed, you never know.

Yeah, I'm reading a clown's comment now.

Imagine, just $1 regardless of whether I have a job or not. Oh! And forget about emergencies, they NEVER happen! Yeah.. makes total sense.

I have sympathy for people who use their opportunities and something outside of their control happens. I work with a guy who has a green card and every week he's got some issue. I have zero sympathy for him. I'm all out of it.
