Good news but hardly the concrete answer we were looking for.

If any of us has undocumented parents or relatives still in the USA, then the next 4-8 years is still going to be hectic, because at any moment we would have to fight for our relative to stay in the country, and would have to pay immigrant lawyer/court fees, and face the uncertainty of what will happen to them etc.

So still a shit deal.

What I am questioning is "Children of undocumented immigrants". Makes me think like they won't deport US Citizen children with their parents rather than leave us the hell alone.

I was thinking that too, but they were never in danger of being deported along with their parents as they are US Citizens.

I do not think they know what they mean to be honest.

You guys are reading too much into this. Their basically just saying there are gonna be different propriety enforcement categories. People were still being deported under Obama the same way.

This still doesn’t tell us anything solid. I’m not even sure if his transition team knows what he will ultimately decide. But I think this is still a good sign, at least it’s in the news. When they say “children” they could only mean DACA people. We’ve always been referred to as “kids” and “children” because of the ages we were when we were brought, even though a lot of us are in our late 20’s early 30’s. The takeaway for me is that whatever happens to DACA, at least we won’t be targeted first. It might mean no EAD’s, but at least it won’t mean SS troopers knocking on your door or NTA’s in the mail. For me personally it means I have enough time to sort out my affairs and actually prepare myself for the future, which is better than being caught without a contingency plan. I really hope everything turns out well for us, all 750,000 or whatever the real number is. I hope we get to keep DACA, or the BRIDGE Act passes, or they attach DREAM Act or something similar to an enforcement bill. It’s not over yet, it won’t be over until I find myself physically deported. And even then life goes on.

We could all put our savings together and create a company with all the talent. It would be a 750,000 employee start up, just a thought. No rednecks allowed to work for us.
