Engaged in the sense that we both agree on it and are planning. We are very unusual and not very ordinary. However, due to the 1950s culture of the process I will officially engage at some point in the next month or so, meaning buying a ring etc... Travel etc

Make sure to keep the documents, receipts and pictures surrounding that process. It is essential show of evidence showing natural progression before the big leap.

What kind of receipts specifically? We have lots of pictures and evidence that we visit each other. I guess this is part of the process I am investigating.

Pictures and evidence are great...but phone bills showing your number and hers would be solid as well. I assume the relationship is long distance and having evidence to fill that gap is essential. Also, If you can showcase pictures with evidence from the event that you visited it tells a more solid story.

We have over 80000 messages we talk regularly I wonder if that can be used as evidence. We visit each other and travel, we also met at school etc... I will start gathering all that stuff.

Thanks for the input

We are happy together and we don't want to be separated, it is a difficult process and I would seek legal advice at that point.

We didn't have any witness at our civil wedding. Why are you asking this question? You don't need any witness.

@OP

I am in Cali, so like it is safe. My undocumented parents came and no ID needed. I was married and just got my I-130 approved. Now, I move forward on filing the 601a. Good luck and be perseverant.
