Believe me you'll be alright if you follow this. Good luck.
I definetely will follow this advice! I feel more comfortable about the situation now.

Thank You to all of you who responded to my post!! I really appreciate it!

I was actually good with Verizon but this new company offered a 20% increase, comparable benefits (new one has more perks), and an overall better working environment. I am also not a fond of my inexperienced direct manager and her Cambodian micromanaging techniques, felt trapped in a Cambodian factory... Cambodians are overall terrible. Wish she was atleast an eye candy but she's not, you get the gist. It's petty but sure is annoying.

I wouldn't tell them. Some people have never even seen an EAD ever before. I had to fill out and tell an HR manager what to put in for EAD. Just wait it out. Hopefully you will get renewed fast.

If they're anything like my current company, they will ask what they can do to help you adjust. My company was offering to initiate sponsorship if I needed it. I told them I didn't need it, that I would renew my EAD on my own.

What field do you work on for the company to offer sponsorship? What level of education do you have and how many years of experience do you have?

Renewing EAD and getting sponsored for work isn't the same thing. And I'm not sure if DACA recipients can be sponsored.

Exactly right. My HR people had no idea about DACA at the time, though (now they know). So they saw an EAD, and immediately thought, "Oh, we can sponsor you and help you AOS eventually."

Not only do I not need sponsorship to renew my EAD, I couldn't have taken them up on the offer even if I wanted to exactly because it's tied to DACA, not a visa.

My understanding is that non of us can be sponsored unless under 245(i). We violated immigration law, EWI or overstay. I believe one of the points for adjusting inside the U.S is to have maintained legal status 100% of the time.

245( c ) ( 8 ) I believe says this.
