Yeah, it's like a curse because Trump is president. If they don't produce a vaccine soon the US will be bankrupted.

My worry is that if they ever go to having to give out food ration coupons or any sort of aid, undocumented people who aren't lucky enough to have DACA won't qualify so we'd have to fend for ourselves finding food. I've seen this happen before in a past life. The $1000 checks or whatever they're thinking of giving appear to be for people who filed taxes so again, a lot of undocumented people who are also hurting and out of work will be left out.

There won't be food rations. If you're so worried about food rationing then you can go plant your own victory garden.

Like I explained in another thread, they wont be rationing because there really is enough for everyone.

In hardest hit wuhan china people were allowed to go to the stores to buy food. Only one member of the family though. With masks on. Not all of China got hammered by their own bioweapon at once. Meaning areas still could produce extra food and ship them to the diseased areas and return home safely.

The one thing everyone needs though is that 1200, regardless of immigration status, so they have money to go to the grocery store and buy the food.

What the government here ought to do is speed up test kits, otherwise we will be forever chasing after the virus. We need to out run it via testing.

Ventilators are needed. The healthcare in this great nation rivals that of third world nations, but only nations in eastern Europe. Where the doctor still smokes. Italy has an amazing healthcare system. Ours is low-tier and expensive. Some might just not get treated and instead prefer to die over the expense of treatment.

Even those in their 40s and 50s are vulnerable. Drowning in their own lungs.

Can someone clarify, if you filed 2019 taxes (last year) you're in UBI? I don't think I' m motivated to file for this April's, though I didn't really have much of a job fourth quarter of 2019, would it be a bad idea not to? I worked 1099, and it's going to hurt me more especially in this time if I'm to file...

My EAD expires at the end of July, I sent in my application August 2019 and did biometrics in September 2019....I’m hoping I get approved soon.

I cannot afford to stop working right now, the company I work for is considered essential and we will continue to work.
