Life After DACA: I just want to let you know guys that i got the Job!!!! i'm so happy. i got a call from my employer two days ago!!! I'll be working as a kitchen worker at a casino from the strip. it's not the ideal job but it will help me gain experience since I've never worked in my life. My goal is to move my way up in this company 'till i become a supervisor and then a manager.

did biometrics on oct. 27
still on initial review..
i have two questions.
1. I took my biometricks on Las vegas, is that where they are going to be doing the review of my case too?
2. will the office speed up their process when my attourney calls them? lol

No, once your biometrics clear from the fbi, they're sent to the service center where your case is at.
since you have waited more than 6 months u can ask your lawyer to do a e-request at the uscis website.

one question tho, was your application transferred?

Im just a little frusterated because I sent my app on october 30th, they received it on Nov. 2nd, and STILL NOTHING....

I Live in las vegas. thank you for all the tips... ONE QUESTION: Is the ssn card we get a normal one? and the DL, is it a normal one too?

When i get my stuff in the mail, ill look over the old stuff and go to the dmv and ssn offices. Thanks guys...

ur ssn card will say that it's only valid w your ead. your dl will expire in 2yrs instead of the normal 4. i believe those are the only differences. other than that, they look exactly the same

Do you know why its 2 years, vs 4?

It's only 2 years because your EAD expires in two years. When you get approved for DACA (hopefully soon), your EAD will expire two years from the date you were approved. Good luck!!

What Josue said. No biggie. We can always get it renewed.

When the time comes we have to renew our ead's months ahead of time because they DMV will not allow us to renew our licenses if the ead is close to/actually expired.

thanks mad man, out of curiosity, do you watch "mad men" ? Just wondering. Also, do you remember the name of the person who helped you? at the dmv?
ONe more question, do you think i can show up to get a NV ID, without the EAD or the ssn?
