we all have been struggling, and we all know how to survive since we are all here. we don't want free benefits. we want freedom and security that our visa/daca will be not taken away along the line.

I've actually read about people who are mad because if they legalize, whether it's the Achieve Act or original DA they won't be able to receive benefits like welfare, food stamps, and even Financial Aid (college), which I think it's absolutely absurd. Why would you want to legalize to start getting free s***, we all need to work hard to earn our citizenship and taking money from the government is just not the right way.

Totally agree with you, and there's those who absolutely need a lot help, but you and I know there's those who cheat the system and suck away as much money as they can from it. I'm totally in favor of the original DA and even the Achieve Act maybe because I qualify for it, pretty sure there's others who say they're against the Achieve Act but at the first shot they had to apply for it, they would not think twice about mailing their applications for it.

I really don't like the ACHIEVE Act it's not the best idea but it's a start. I wouldn't mind not being able to receive welfare since I want to become independent and not have to mooch off my parents or anyone else. As far as financial aid, I would like to be able to qualify but if it won't be possible then I won't cry about it so much. I wouldn't let that stop me I'd find my own way to pay for my education. I know some people abuse federal aid as well and it does upset me but in the end I decide not to put much attention to it. Of course it's not the right way xeno's will start to talk because only they deserve to mooch and I'm fine with that keep your stuff I don't need them.

Btw I want to legalize through the DA or something similar to it. Achieve Act is not even close.

Financial Aid is a flexible topic and I agree with you they're giving us a way to pay for our own education, so if we are not authorized to receive F.A. then I won't cry about it either.

Hahaha yea it is. I wish with the DA we could qualify for Financial Aid but if they decide to not allow us to receive not even a penny then oh well got to work our a$$es$ off.

Edit: Ah yes, here we go:

My mom was an LPR, then she became a USC just after I turned 21 so my age was "frozen" at 21+some. Thta's why I don't qualify under CSPA.
This law is just not fair. It is like you are on your way to getting legalized but then you have an obstacle ahead of you. So why would they even let you file the I-130 to begin with?

I apply, but still this is not comprehensive. If you listen to all the political analysts, they are saying the Republicans needs to come up with a comprehensive immigration reform, not just the Dream Act, many of you guys are skeptical, but I can assure something big is coming Republicans need the Hispanic, and other minorities vote. They need to renew theirbase period., conservative is not the way to go anymore.
