Recieved my rfe letter last Friday they need more evidence for 2008 and 2009 was wondering if rent reciepts , letter from work , and letters from a couple of bussinesses I voulanteered in will be enough

Yes good estimate mine only took about 6 days so 1-2 weeks should sound about right.

YES! Rent receipts should show that you were physically present in the States for the months that you show that you paid rent....I hope you have a receipt for all 24 months.

Also, from my RFE experience, any letter writte on your behalf by employers or other third parties (such as the businesses you volunteered at) should include: employer name, your full name, and dates in which you worked/volunteered....USCIS will not take legal action against them, as long as theyre not multiple offenders. So let the ppl who are writing those letters for you to not worry, that the letter is simply to establish physical presence in the states for YOU, not legal/illegal employment.

Also I have heard that Facebook posts, Facebook checkins, tweets, instagrams whatever social media evidence you can print out works too! Once you get RFEd, any evidence is good evidence!

i had a similar RFE asking of evidence for the years 2009-2011 and all i sent was college transcript, amazon.com receipts and paypal receipts.

I gotta do the same for 2007 and time of applying in November '12. All I got is bank statements and pay stubs. Hopefully that is enough. Got the letter Sat, sending it back tomorrow. Lol, gonna 1-day ship this in hopes of fast approval. Lol.

i was gonna do that but they were gonna charge me $20 so instead i just went with the cheaper option ha they'll still get it by thursday so maybe i'll hear something as early as saturday if not next week hopefully

Guys I still haven't gotten any update from uscis that they've receieve my RFE?? I'm getting a little worried :/ my lawyer just told me to wait..

My tracking number says they recived it Monday at 11 am
But my case status was not updated yet is this normal??
From most posts on here it people get it update the same day or the next day

As long as it has been delivered, maybe they just haven't looked at it yet. Or maybe they are reviewing it but just haven't updated it. Someone in one of these posts said she sent her rfe and was approved before she even received an update. I say just wait a little bit.
