Irritated Tier 1/2 call service workers aren't going to be the cause of DACA getting cancelled. That's like the cable company pulling service out of an area because its call service workers are getting too many complaints from that area.

And no. USCIS is not going to go "We're overwhelmed/underbudgeted/undermanned,etc., so we need to shut down DACA". If that was going to be a valid excuse to stop a program, the entire immigration system should have been dismantled before 21st century.

Canada is looking more lucrative every day.
Toronto seems like a good place to live. Once an LPR in Canada, you can come and go between East Coast and Midwest anytime you like. I recently moved to Michigan and that border seems so elusive, I just want to cross it, one day.

So USCIS says they're going in chronological order and that they're working on February applications right now but my sister who submitted paperwork at the same time as me got her DACA approved last week.

Submitted paperwork June 6th, received bio appointment for July 20 and got approved for DACA for August 18th. She got a message that her EAD is in the works. She expires September 29, 2016.

How does any of this make sense if they're going chronologically. Yet I submitted everything at the same time as her and I've yet to receive a biometrics appointment.

Do you think it has to with age or something? Anyone gotten approved above 30 years old? I'm 29 and my sister is 23.

Otherwsie they're full of BS at this point.

I'm sure we're not the only ones thinking that though I would like to do things better than I did here. (i.e. Submit a permanent residency application and see how that goes lol)

I'm getting ready for a long vacation at home.

They're full of BS. You've seen people who applied with less than 120 days and get approved. USCIS is working randomly.

What would even been the first step in moving to Canada? Going back to old country and then to Canada?

Definitely not in the order they were received but not sure if it's completely random. Looks like they are pretty consistent with applications filed after May 16th as long as the biometrics are completed.
Something happened early Feb - early May. Not entirely sure what that problem is, and why the delayed background checks issue seems to be a lot more pervasive this time around than in the past renewal cycle.

Not entirely sure. I was hoping I could apply from here and then just got to Canada with the proper paperwork. There's a few universities I'm interested in attending for my Master's degree that are in Canada but I figured that would be at least 5 years away from me but now with all of this happening. Maybe I should look at it more seriously. /sigh

Is the technical outage due to the background check system breaking down, you think? Or something else?

You could apply from here but it's much harder to find a job in Canada than here before/after finishing masters.
Also, leaving from here without AP is pretty much a one-way street if you don't have a reasonable and timely means of adjusting to PR.
