Silver lining people! Silver lining! Let us focus a bit, not on the negative, but on the positive for a second.

When (because it's not an "if"), CIR passes, instead of legalization for all, it might be: first, legalization for students. They'll enact DREAM first, then the rest. More likely, since we are students, and we have no order of deportations (the majority I imagine), and we do have more to offer, we'll get the first chance!

Be positive, see the good.

The President said yesterday in New Orleans that CIR will be addresses in a year or two. What is Sen. Reid talking about?

D.A should not be part of CIR.
Health care will hit the floor later this
month. Energy is next with high taxes, more troops are needed for war and the economy is another story.

A few things could happen. Obama can say he needs more troops and since we don't have enough it would be smart move to pass DA as an excuse.

Congress can continue lying to us about drafting bills that were never written besides principals and example of what might be in them but no such thing is written. Sen. Graham was surprised there was an event on Tuesday. He said Schumer has no bill drafted as of yet.

CIR will be debated in 2011. Sorry folks. I suggest doing you're own research. Everything I find suggest we are screwed for another year or so. Everyone go hard or go home.

Let's face it nothing is popping this year. Where is our march on Capital hill? The media covered nothing. Ballon boy gets more action than us and the gays.

I don't know why but Senator Durbin can easily attach dream act as an amendment to the DHS appropriation bill for fiscal year of 2010. Yes, we may not get enough vote for it to pass, but at least we know how the vote will go.

COSPONSORS(30), BY DATE [order is left to right]: (Sort: alphabetical order)

Sen Martinez, Mel [FL] - 3/26/2009

Martinez resigned and Sen. Lemieux replaced him in mid-Sept. I just called to office myself. They said that he is taking over some of his co-sponsorings but she didn't know about the DREAM Act. Call him at (202) 224-3041 and ask him to take over the cosponsoring of the DREAM. Please let's get him on board before the special interests get to him.If they ask you for one, Zip codes in FL include: 33901, 33908, 33150-69.... Call now!

I've been thinking that this may be the only way for anything immigration related to pass in 2010. The Dems are not stupid. They will not push a bill if they don't have the votes for it. And that means if CIR is going to crash and burn, they will not push for it. And even if they do, they'll have to pick up the pieces and move on from there by passing piece-meal legislation.

I think more than likely a bill dealing with border-security, DREAM Act, and AgJobs will pass. That way they can keep their pro-immigration constituents happy.

Has anyone ever publicly acknowledged the connection between DA and the troop shortage?
