Anyone have any insight on how complicated is it to immigrate to Spain being Mexican??

I have relatives that went to Spain to get their Phd.
I really don't know how complicated it was, I just know that it took time and they had the advantage of getting their phd there.

From what little I recall, I thought that as a student you could only hold a part time job, but weren't considered a national resident, and that you needed at least 5 years as a legal resident to gain citizenship so that seems like a roadblock.

I could be wrong though

I seriously don't know. I've only seen them twice in my life. I know they are doing a residency there as well. And I think I also heard something about the 5 years thing. I can assure you though, the process to get their visas did take time. Sorry, I know it doesn't help much but it is all I know.

Going back to South Korea and joining the military there most likely. After I do my time I'll gather up some money and go to Canada or something; huge ass Asian population there and all.
