I hope they understand some of us are 23-24+, graduated from school and don't have bank statements and didn't get sick in the past few months to have those type of records. lol

If you have strong evidence for June 15 (or June in general), they will probably not require the one for the presence during DACA filing. The OP only had letters, and even though that still decent evidence, it's still not good enough. That's the only reason I brought it up.

The "better safe than sorry" saying holds so much truth during this process.

I still don't get why people don't have bank statements. Most banks practically pay you to have a bank account with them. I opened mine in 05 and they gave me $100. I tried to close it around 07 because I was mad at them and they gave me $50 to stay. If you're paying for your checkings account, might as well walk to the park during midnight and get rape because they are already fking you pretty good. No one in my family pays for a bank account.

I don't work and I don't have a SSN so I couldn't open a bank account because that's what the banks around me asked for.

If you go to the actual bank make sure you speak to a manager because they most likely know what's up. If not, then there are places where you can go to open a bank account. I opened mine with just my matricula and student id. At the school I went you could use your student id as a credit/debit card just by signing a form.

You do realize that this isn't really common knowledge for most people since we're undocumented? If it wasn't for this forum, I would have NEVER known about ITIN. Never.

I mean, I wish there was a how-to on undocumented life because how would people know? I actually opened a BofA account when I got my social and things, and they checked ALL my IDs (passport, social, college ID, EAD). Some states differ also when it comes to opening bank accounts.

LOL, plus I'm not hispanic and I don't have a matricula. I still don't know what that is. You can't open a bank account with a college ID where I'm from.

If you have an immigrant friendly state... Go for it. But I'll be damned if I tried opening an account in AZ.

I opened my WellsFargo account with my passport and my ITIN (Wachovia back then).

I think getting a request for evidence for proof of you being here at time of application would be so interesting. I've always wanted a bank account, they're slightly harder to open while being undocumented, but I need money first.

I didn't know we had to prove presence in US when we submit our application (I only did it for 6/15 and month of June). Is that going to affect my application decision? I mean I sent the package using my home address, obviously, so shouldn't that be proof of presence?

TBH, what proof is enough? you know?

Short of video or photographs of some known landmarks with you prancing around, I wouldn't really worry about this unless you didn't sign your applications.
