Not booked in, except they took me to this trailer called a control station since it was a checkpoint to take a picture with an index card that had a number sorta like a mug shot but no finger prints. N then I signed for them to let me go.

And by the time I realized it was a checkpoint it was too freaken late I couldn't turn back. I was screwed once I passed the Main Street. So yes I was forced to drive through there given my circumstances with no license.

I highly doubt it will lengthen your wait for daca. It was for a minor traffic violation. DHS didn't even want us telling them about this stuff. Only if it was a major deal. Hope they get your approval done fast so at least you get out of the ticket!

Don't worry, you will be approved. I saw people here on the forums who had DUIs and got their DACA approved. You didn't do anything MAJOR. Best of luck either way!

You'll be alright. Just tell the judge you tried to get a DL but they turned you down. You'll likely pay a fine. Or maybe even not that. As for the checkpoint...that I don't know...Cops can pretty much arrest you for whatever reason if you don't have a DL and as you found out, tow truck companies are thieves.

I have to ask though, I noticed you had waited till January of this year to send in your application. Why on earth did you wait 4 months if you were eligible??
