Lol, this is one of the things that remind me of "What not to say on a date."

It's like being on a first date, you want to get to know the person, but not get to know them in that kind of level. If you know what I mean. Too soon... too soon.

LOOOOL! I just read your comment. Sorry, I'm laughing at the way she said it. I was picturing her saying that with an attitude and maybe a snap with her fingers at the end. That must have been an awkward conversation.

That was one of the worst first dates ever! She was wearing this foofoo pink short mini-dress to Starbucks and so I made a little joke about her being overdressed and it was downhill from there. Incidentally, She's the only lawyer I've seen who put a magnet sign on her car doors.

If you truly felt "he was the one for me," then you wouldn't be this hesitant in telling him. Just sayin'

Miss fancy over there with a magnet sign, most likely from Vistaprint. Was she promoting her business as an attorney?

Hey! You know what they say, you can't win them all.

Yikes! Your story made me cringe.. sorry you had that experience. I guess I can see why you think guys would be more sympathetic towards a girl in our situation. Honestly, I think it depends on the individual. I've met jerks (to say it mildly) who are all for DACA and such... so you never know these days lol. Dating overall is a mind game, so sometimes how someone comes off at first is not what they are really like. Maybe she was put off by your comment on her appearance? I'm sure she put some time and effort into that foofoo pink outfit, haha.

OP I didn't tell my boyfriend of now almost 5 years until about 6 months in! Two weeks is a miniscule amount of time in the grand scheme of things! If he is indeed 'the one' you can wait a few more months!

I think I may have been set up a bit...her ethnicity was the same as mine which is always a bad sign given that I dated one for 2 years and she knew and still knows like 90% of the population from our culture in my city. It's creepy really and to the point where I feel like I've been blacklisted in the city since even 10 years later I meet someone from a dating site and it turns out they know each other (not that I bring it up, but either I recognize them or they recognize me). I later found out this one also was friends with my ex's sister. Girls like to talk....

But anyhoo, that's life...
