Wondering...could tillis be stalling to next week when Title 42 ends which should bring the urgency for immigration deal?

Whoever is in charge of immigration policy at rhe White House is truly incompetent and directionless. If I were the WH, I would be actively taking part in the immigration talks and negotiating to swap Title 42 extension for DACA. They are already secretly appealing the court order so why not just come out publicly and try to strike some deal. Thought Biden was supposed to be a deal maker. His immigration policy has been a total screw up.

I admire your optism, this ship has sailed. Tillis obviously wants it to be a standalone bill and so that would takes us to the next year when Mccarthy takes over and has said multiple times that he will not bring up any immigration bill for consideration

Yall they can do this, just don't give up hope. Of course, senate and HOR has been incompetent but still let's hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Trust me, I am one of the original DACA recipients (36 yrs old)

Sorry only natural-born US citizens are allowed. No immigrants.

McCarthy was capping when he said that.

3) McCarthy: I would put the policies back in with Republicans and Democrats, Remain in Mexico. I would work with Republicans and Democrats to bring back Title 42 that you would put people back into their countries so they know not to come here.

The first thing he wants to do as speaker is talk about an immigration bill.

Listening to CNN/FOX/MSNBC this morning, they are finally talking about immigration, very little on daca, Tile 42 is the main topic, the consensus is: politicians suck, from both sides, they can't reach an agreement on what to do, lol like that is news

McCarthy already said no amnesty. He plans to try and implement those changes without offering any kind of citizenship or protection. It's an enforcement-only bill. The kind the immigration hawks like
