Yeah and with this Tile 42 fiasco, he might get it his way because just this year alone there have been over 2 million apprehensions claiming asylum; an all time record high.

The way I understand it without tile 42 anybody can just cross the border, surrender to dhs and ask for asylum and since the courts are overfilled and these people can't be held for more than 90 days, these people walk out free and wait for their court day, but off course never return. Which is kind of genius for these immigrants, I mean they don't even have to pay a coyote. I wonder why Mexicans haven't apply this process in the past instead of paying a coyotes whom is some cases take advantage of them.

The chance of some sort of immigration bill (and I mean ANYTHING) passing will be much higher with McCarthy in place compared to Nancy P. Nancy P. was very much focused only on continuously using the issue whereas McCarthy is someone who will actually push to get what his party wnats...and that is border enforcement and he does seem like someone who we can negotiate with in good faith and get something in return...but unfortunately our enemies UWD and Co. will try their level best to ensure that doesn't happen...once again...to ensure that they continue making the big $$. With GOP Speaker in place...the future looks bright for UWD. This is exactly what they want.

How in the name of jesus is mccarthy going to convince ijm jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Scott Perry, Andy Biggs, Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, brian babin etc to allow him to bring up a daca fix bill? in order to secure their vote these people have a list of demands for maccarthy and I don't think daca is one of their priorities.

yeah macarthy " is someone who will actually push to get what his party" just like biden will use his "contacts" to make a deal lmfao

That is why i mentioned specifically "ANYTHING". Doesn't matter. Any damn immigration bill...which includes border security...dreamer fix...or all border security or only dreamer fix....SOMETHING...its going to pass only under Republicans...Not like Dems, who like to put on a big show (ex. Chucky S. shutdown or Nancy P. declaring victory by passing useless bills in the House with nothing to show in the Senate).

By conceding big amounts to border security, I bet you we can get Dreamer legalization through even though McCarthy will be Speaker....but again...as I mentioned....big time immigration groups will never let this happen.

Well, for something to pass in the next two years, the republican controlled house would need to bring up a bill for vote. Mccarthy has never ever said (at least in the last two years) that we would bring up an immigration benefit bill, he said he would bring bills that are strictly enforcement, T42 for example. So I do not see how mccarthy could help us here, he is absolutely non interested in helping us, he wants enforcement, he has said it clearly more that once recently.

Any bill passed solely by a Republican-controlled house is DOA in the Senate. Nancy passes several immigration bills that died in the senate because there were not enough votes. 2Face logic does not make sense. The issue is not passing a bill in the house, it is getting 60 votes in the Senate. If 1 party controls the house, they can pass a bill along party lines.

Border security money + no more asylums in exchange for DACA only pathway to citizenship. Only for the ones who already have DACA. Not for new applicants. That’s the only way see something even a slight chance of passing. NO TPSers

So...everything is so quiet...Didn't democrats say they wanted to work on DACA during the lame duck session, yet the only announcement has been from Sinema (Independent) and Tillis (Republican)?

What are you talking about Ted Cruz Jr. ?
DACA means nothing and will expire soon, and you will be another undocumented dreamer alien.

Here are the requirements for Dreamers on this Bill
All DACA requirements
younger than 18 when they enter the country
younger than 38 in 2012.
