Man that's really sad.......

In my case I was always told about the limitations being illegal meant but even them it just made me stronger. It was depressing when the dream act if 2002 fail seeing my sisters dreams of school crashed but even them it just gave me the strength to continued. Plus my parents are very positive people who always encouraged us to not give up

I found out in the 5th grade. I didn't really understand how it would effect me until I was picking my high school classes in 8th grade. We needed our SSN to even begin the application. I felt so embarassed trying to tell my teacher that I didn't have a SSN.

I found out in high school when I was interested in getting a drivers license. Sucked so much cause I also wanted to travel overseas after graduation.

like everyone else in high school when i was 15 since my high school had a driver ed. found out why i couldn't get a permit thankfully the school had a loophole if you couldn't get permit in time of the start of the semester you could sign a permission waiver

I didn't really know the severity of the situation until I was 15... I took a class my sophmore year that qualified for dual enrollment at a community college. They made us take some sort of entrance exam math/writing/science (maybe?) which not everyone passed... To get the credit you had to have financial aid from the state. I remember the teachers hounding me about turning in my scholarship application. I finally broke down and told them I wasn't born here. Growing up I honestly thought I was just like everyone else. I told my mom that I wanted to drop out.. I'm thankful to her for never letting that be an option.

I knew it since day one! I was 11, riding in my uncles car. He was preparing me all the way to inspection on what to say to the CBP officer in case he would asked me anything.

I knew and didnt really get to me untill i got out of highshool wich is one of my happiest yet saddest days of my life, i had acomplished something yet it was a dead end for me, i live in michigan and its not as easy as it is for most of you guys to keep going to school, i had a license so that aint get to me either untill the state decided to start asking for a social to get a license i had mines wich would expire when i turned 21, the day came and things just kept on getting harder from then on. no school, no license , a crappy job , but god is good i hvnt been approved yet but i hope the day comes soon because i feel my life is gonna change completely.
