I am with you. If something permanent is not passed take off the travel restriction from Bridge act; however, I also do believe that if nothing permanent passes this time, nothing ever will.

Bridge is pointless. It is basically DACA for a few more years, and not renewable. For most of us, it literally only means extending our status by like one year (those who expire in 2019). And don't give me the argument that it buys Congress more time for legalization. You know full well that that will not happen if Congress fucks up this month.

just playing devils advocate for the no BRIDGE ACT people, we all know we want permanent legalization here.

you guys are practically saying go big or go home (literally) no relief whatsoever?

so its DREAM ACT or bust for you guys? if a temporary "BRIDGE ACT" relief bill passes, you guys wont apply and wait for your EAD's to expire then eventually self-deport or be deported?

its very simple, if u dont like any relief that passes for ur which isn't the DREAM ACT or any permanent solution, then don't apply. lol

that's not what i was saying.
it was just that he was coming as off as wanting BRIDGE act instead of dream act simply because the former benefits more of the people he wants it to benefit.

i dont think anybody wants a temporary BRIDGE ACT to pass because we all prefer something permanent. but that's not really up to us tbh.

whatever relief this Congress' passes for us, u can bet ill be applying for it.

Out of curiosity how do you see BRIDGE Act passing? I can't see Ryan or McConnell allowing a vote on Clean BRIDGE Act, and I don't see the Dems voting for BRIDGE Act paired with Border Security.

tbh, worst case scenario if the Dems are cornered in and its the last minute in 2018 they would vote for any relief for us, no matter how bad it is.

i honestly dont think the dems would let people expire everyday in 2018 and feed us to the wolves. there will always be gotta a compromise of relief + security no matter what even right now for the dream act.

thats why i always believed nobody of us will be going back to the shadows.

but i dont want this to happen though.

If they remove travel restriction on BRIDGE Act does that mean we can clear our EWI? If so, then we can obtain our GCs via marriage. This option is better than nothing and therefore NOT pointless.

Dems have an opportunity here, they should demand da to replace bridge. Let's see how much repubs want their border security and enforcement.

I know this scenario isn't the best for some but at one point, rather sooner than never, a compromise must be made.
