Yes, but it would have legalized the Dreamers anyway. That bill was not the right one because it would have left out thousands of Dreamers.

So, lets just cross our fingers and hope they are completely satisfied by using this issue politically and are willing to let it go. I don't see why this bill shouldn't pass. It has positive vibes from major individuals such as Hutchinson, Kyl, McCain, DURBIN, King etc.
Yup. And, if these people support the bill once it is presented, I believe it can create a domino effect. If they are convinced, then they will convince their best legislative friends and so on and so on.

We are not stupid. If Democrats by the mere fact vote no, it will be clear that they politicized the issue and disregarded the goal of fair, reasonable relief. That's the reality.

I read on Mandeep Chahal blog that she who is considered a more visible Dreamer is totally opposed to the GOP Dream. Maybe i read it wrong but all in all those Dreamers who dont agree with the GOP version stop dragging the rest of us down. Let this bill pass, if that happens swear to never ever under any circumstances take advantage of second class citizenship, keep holding your breath for C.I.R. Last time i tried i was able to hold my breath for a lil over 3 minutes so good luck, i imagine C.I.R. is about 50 years out for those of you who like exact numbers more like 26,208,000 minutes. But hey If someone could win the lotto twice or even once those of you who want the original Dream might also be able to hold ur breath for 26,208,000 minutes.

-And yes what could an average human achieve in 26,208,000 minutes of second class citizenship: marriage to a citizen, join the military, finish school, get a job and support people they care about, get a job that sponsors you, start a fortune 500, have children, have grand children, have great grandchildren, have your family sponsor you, start lobbying for change with money instead of the redial button on your fax machine, travel the world, travel the world and realize that places like Australia might be a better fit so maybe you move there, get a traffic ticket without the adjoining heart attack, actually stand up for your self when someone talks down to you because your not afraid of retaliation through deportation, become a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, a fucking porn star, buy a home, buy a car, buy health insurance so you can actually see a doctor instead of using WebMD, go to graduate school, become active in your community and the globe, alter the voting block in America to represent real issues and not political bullshit, start your own damn lobbying group, get a D.I.P. with a slap on the wrist instead of a pink jump suit, my favorite talk shit to Joe Arpaio, Shawn Hannity, Sara Palin, Bill Oreily and the like without them actually being able to do anything about it.

-Or you could spend the next 26,208,000 minutes visiting http://www.dreamact.info and updating articles even thou you probably have arthritis in your hands from ranting and raving about your feelings for the last 50 years and how hind sight is a BITCH, need two hip replacements, have no teeth left, wear adult diapers, and cant exactly remember what the Dream Act is all about anyway. Not to mention you've probably been deported at this point cause everyone's luck runs out sooner or later.
I want to say I completely agree with many of the points you made except that dreamers who oppose the GOP proposal will drag us down. If the GOP actually want to help us they will attempt to pass their bill no matter what they hear. And it's their bill not ours because no matter who tries to give them an idea of what we want. It will always appeal to them more than it does to us unlike the original DA which was beyond fair. So to be absolutely clear if they want to only support the original let them because they can not stop the GOP pass the bill. And we still don't know if they will because I highly doubt Romney gets to be president, and that was basically their incentive.
