Why the 21 and older restriction? How old are you?

What about us Arizonans? Is it possible to get one in California (or any neighboring state) or do we need to prove somehow that we 'live' there. I know a lot of people get mad when people mention this but having a state ID is better than no state ID over here.

Which DMV you go too and how was the wait?

The one in Humble. It took about an hour. The majority of it was waiting to get a ticket, and waiting for that ticket to be called. When you get to a window, it takes no more than 10 minutes to do your vision test(assuming you already took the written test with a 6-hour course), take your picture, and get your DL printout/receipt to leave.

Yes. It is now required for people 18-24 to take a 6hr course. I think you should take it right now, before you get your SSN, to be ready to go earlier. The one I took cost $42 and the certificate took 3 days to get here.

You don't need the booklet or social to take the course. Mine just asked for name, address, and of course, $42. No booklet because they teach you the material that is in the booklet and give you the real written test at the end of the 6 hours online. It's very very easy stuff, and honestly, a lot of it is common sense. I got a 100% on both the rules and signs test. Very easy.

I check dps website and you were correct 18-24 needs the adult course.
