There most certainly is. You can be approved for DACA and denied for the EAD but not vice versa. If you're denied DACA, you aren't eligible for an EAD.

There have been a few instances here on the forum where some people received an RFE for their I-765 application. They are two different applications and they are treated as such. Although, it is unlikely for someone to be denied the EAD, it can happen.

Alright so people who get approved for DACA in Florida can still get their DL/ID ect?

just want to clarify.

Only if they are approved for the EAD as well. This bill would have made it possible for people who were approved for DACA but denied the EAD to be able to apply for an ID and DL as well.

Florida is actually turning around to a blue state, specially with the Hispanic vote which is why Obama won, and why Reps are pushing for CIR because they know if they don't side with Hispanics, their party will die in a couple of elections.

Which is why Scott's asshole move isn't just cruel, it's also a long term political mistake. Sure, it may win him the short term support of older white and black anti-immigrant voters, but not in other aspects.
