hello guys! i"m new here!
I'm from Nevada (Las Vegas)

i heard about this forum a few weeks ago but i didn't want to join in 'till i were approved!! lol

i joined this forum on Monday 12/03/2012, the day i found out i was approved!!!!

I was approved on 11/29/2012!!!!! but i didn't find out 'till monday 12/03/2012!! i got two approval notices on the mail. My status did"t change on the USCIS website until i called them on tuesday 12/04/2012!! Right after i called them, they change my status from "initial review" to "Card Production" I was so happy...i can's still believe!!

btw...Thanks MadMan!!! I have been reading your posts and they have been very helpfull!!!!!

one more thing, i went to the DMV yesterday and i passed the written exam!!! i will be getting my Instruction Permit in 7-10 business days!!! now i just need to apply for my SS#... i will do that on Monday!!

Any approvals from Nevada today?

Nope, I don't think so. I recently had to change my password for my account on USCIS because it was almost 90 days since I've made it to view updates on case.

Has anyone from Nevada been sent to a SC other than the Vermont one?

It is strange. Everyone has been sent to Vermont but mine was sent to Nebraska. O_o

I am also from las vegas, here is my timeline
sent 9/4 vermont
received 9/11
biometrics 10/9
approved 12/11
EAD shipped 12/13

So I have a couple of questions.
First, I was on this other thread and people were talking about how they shortened their name on the ssn card and their drivers license (shortened from two last named). Did any of you do that? I thought your EAD had to match your ssn card.

also, has anyone been to the henderson dmv and can tell me their experience?
