Got my MA license and it's 5 years. I didnt however showed anything related to my 2-year EAD expiration date or my SSN card showing valid for work only.

I gave them the SSN printout, proof of residency in the state, and my previous driver's license from another state, still valid.

The DMV worker who did my application for the permit exam looked at my EAD card for the entirety of 3 seconds, and I was never, ever asked to show it again, even during the road test. So I'm hoping that that means they'll just give me the 5 year one.

So even if your permit says two years I can have the chance to have a 5 yr or for va an 8 yr license ???
