Yes, I only showed my DL. The person asked me whether the name is same on the passport. I answered yes. She didn't need to see it.
If you have the passport, I advise that you take it with you. If not, at least take your EAD card. If I remember correctly, one person posted that DL wasn't enough for his/her walk-in.

My sister and I just received our biometric appointments but they are scheduled on the day that we will be on vacation out of state. Now we need to decided if we should call to reschedule for a later date or just take our chances with a walk in.

I know a lot of people have had luck with walk in's but the closest USCIS office is 3.5 hours away from where we live. So we are not sure if we should risk it. Has anyone rescheduled their bio appointment before? Was it an easy process? Did it delay your approval time any?

EAD and passport is much secure than DL.

Of course it will delay your process because they will reschedule your biometrics at a later time, which will push back the process.

You have to request by mail only (instructions are on the biometrics appointment letter).

I took my DL and EAD (as backup) to my walk-in. They didn't ask for a secondary ID. The DL was suffice.

It says right on the letter that a DL only is good enough for ID... that and the bio letter is all you need.

Do we get a notification when we get a biometrics appointment? What's the next notification we get after receipt?
