1 day. What does that mean? Im trying to get a hold of my lawyer but its late.

Just spoke to my lawyer. Apparently the ONE DAY means exactly what I thought. It means I can only be out of the country for one day which is the biggest load of crap Ive ever ever. Im devastated. Its not even the fact I spent over 1000 in lawyers, passport and application but they really expect someone to go and be back from visiting Mexico for only one day.

Im not going anymore. 18 years without going to Mexico and it looks like I'm not going anytime soon. Good luck to everyone whos fortunate enough to go.

I've read several cases here of people being paroled for one day because they have DACA. Basically, you don't have to be paroled longer than one day because our DACA is already deferring deportation. See one example in the thread below.

Edit: found another thread talking about one day parole.

I'm sorry but your lawyer is WRONG. Why don't you make an appointment at your closest Immigration office and ask for clarification? Plenty of lawyers out there who don't have a clue what they are saying sometimes and just steal your money. No need for a lawyer for such a simple AP application but who am i to say. Unless you had deportation proceedings, you should not need one but i understand the need to feel comfortable using one.

Don't trust what one lawyer is saying. Why don't you post the rest of the letter so other people here can tell you if it matches what theirs were when they traveled? Blur out your personal info. You are throwing a good amount of money because you are believing on one person that might not know what they are saying. You previously said the letter had specific travel dates and on the 2 letters i've received this is what showed on mine. "You can travel from this date to this date".

Just my .2 cents

Completely agree, if it gives you peace of mind make an infopass appt for clarification. Especially if you have time before your travel dates.

Not to sound harsh but find yourself a new lawyer or do it yourself, he's completely wrong, the "one day" has nothing to do with how many days you can be out, that's why immigration already approved the other dates. The one day just means that you can't be paroled for more than one day, meaning that the day you check in with an immigration officer at the border on your way back they will stamp your I-94 travel document with that crossing date as the "paroled" date allowing you the chance to make a legal entry, AND that same day is the day the travel document expires but once you're back inside and you submit AOS that expiration date means nothing, what matters is the legal entry. You're fine just travel within the dates they approved, the "one day" is the day you get back. That's the reason peoples cases get messed up because of incompetent lawyers, be careful.

Hello Everyone!

I have read many of the threads on this forum and I see many are saying that regardless of the AP stating that it has a ONE DAY parole period we can actually stay for longer?

My AP was approved for AUGUST 30 to OCTOBER 30th, it was authorized for one entry and I am under the DACA program.

I actually bought my ticket for Mexico when I received my approval, not the actual documents, and I reserved it for 4 days. When I received the actual documents I noticed the ONE DAY in red. I asked an immigration paralegal that works with a law firm (friend of mines) and she is saying that I can literally only be there (Mexico) for one day. But the threads say other wise.

So, the whole ONE DAY validity has nothing to do with the days you remain out of the country? - Please confirm

Also, I have two copies of the advanced parole and was wondering if immigration will stamp both and we each keep one?

Please help me out! My travel date is next week (September 26).

Thanks!

Dude look at the post right above of yours. You are good. Make sure you leave only after 8/30 and I suggest you come back like a week before 10/30.
