Hey all, so my family is moving to Chicago soon because my dad has a friend who can get him a job over there. I know Illinois gives in-state tuition to some undocumented providing you meet a certain criteria.

I'm a senior a highschool right now, and I believe you have to be in Illinois 36 months prior to college application to apply for instate tuition.

I have a question...does this mean I can finish my senior year in highschool then do two years at a community college and benefit from instate tuition? Or is the law 36 months prior to graduating highschool/applying for college?

Any information is appreciated, even if I do not benefit from this I have plans to move to Mexico after my senior year, I would just like to explore this opportunity.

http://dreamact.info/students/in-state/illinois nevermind, I found the information. Illinois requires you to attent highschool for 3 years there.

http://dreamact.info/students/in-state/washington I think Washington is the state I was getting confused with. Washington seems to require you finish highschool/ live in the state 3 years prior to college application.

yeah you finished high school, the only real loop hole would be if you were to get a another GED for the sake of meeting the requirement.

Yeah, I'll just be going back to Mexico. It was worth investigating at least.
