The problem with that is that you are essentially creating second class citizens. You can't have residency and not being able to become a citizen down the road, they'd have to have a special status...

Has anyone ever sent an application for an EAD renewal? if so, was the expiration date the same as the EAD you were replacing? I assume this is the case, but I just wanted to gather some datapoints.

If you've accrued unlawful presence or have engaged on unauthorized employment, you can't AOS on an I140, so you'd have to do consular processing and will need a I601A waiver.

Labor certification is not hard if you have a legit job and a good lawyer. I just got my I140 approved last week. It's not impossible, the hardest part is the waiver.
