As DACA slowly dies, maybe something will be worked on, like BRIDGE act (3 years of legal 'DACA', non renewalable).

It'll become a waiting game to see when something passes.

A lot of people may lose their jobs and go back to work in the shadows, similar to the gap experienced by many from the recent renewal delays, but not all ~800k.

We'll still find a way to live our lives, just shitty and filled with fear.

We'll still pay taxes, economy won't suffer as badly as predicted.
This last part is the most frustrating to me. Dems and advocacy groups keep advocating for us in the grounds that we are a big part of the economy and the impacts could be disastrous if we can't legally work anymore. The truth is that we're not that big of a part of the econmy. Yes, we contribute, but the econmy will be fine with or without us.

Just argue on moral grounds.

I agree. It's hard to defend that we are big part of economy ! They should stop keep saying this shit

I like the economic argument. No one is saying economy will tank without us, but states will lose money. Companies will lose workers - and it takes resources/money to search for replacement and train new employees. I don't see why you can't use both arguments - moral & economic.

Oh it's a valid, and a good argument for sure. Very valid since the opposing argument is we are all on welfare and are taking money from US citizens.

Training replacements is also impactful to many businesses. Some of us fill special roles that aren't easy/cheap to replace.

It's clear we can get something permanent passed only if democrats are willing to compromise . Right now we are at the total mercy of democrats.

Kellyanne is going around saying that Americans will get jobs if DACA is ended and Steve Mumchkim pretty much saying the same thing.

Ending DACA is good for American workers.

No the main issue is still the 9AGs attempting to sue. If that didn't happen, we wouldn't be in this mess, not at this time anyway.

Yea I've seen them using that argument since Friday. Unemployment is really low at the moment. It's a breitbart talking point.

This is actually really scary, because it's easy for people to relate to, regardless of actual facts.
