Congressman Ryan will vote nay on the DREAM Act because he has already done so in the past; i.e. December 2010. According to what his official website says he understands the reasons why the DREAM Act is supported however he believes it isn't a solution to the broken immigration system and would first like to see the border secured, a less complicated guest worker program put in place to allow the flow of legal immigration, and E-verify program put in place throughout the whole nation. Also, in 2005 he voted in favor of the H.R.4437 Sensenbrenner bill, which was extremely similar to several state anti-immigrant bills/laws that have been introduced/passed in the recent years. Most importantly he is currently the Republican Vice Presidential Candidate for 2012.
