Thank you for the response. The stamp only has one number which seems to be a stamp number(62002). Everything else is just the date. There is the officer number and a purpose line with that says...

You won't have a problem. Just tell them they have the wrong social security on your file. They'll probably ask you for a copy of your social security card but that's about it.

But he's already taking the GED exam. Once you take the exam these preparation don't let you come back until you find out if you passed or failed.

In about a month! He should be able to pass it. He only needs to pass the math part. So it's a month to take it and then another month to wait for the results. So that's 2 months of more waiting.
