My USC wife is a full-time student and also not working. We were able to use my salary and were recently approved without RFEs. I'm curious, what documents did you send with your application?

Only the online status updates for 'Case Ready for Interview'. Next letter you get after this is when your interview is scheduled. The letter lists documents you need to take to your interview.

My interview was last week and the IO only had one thick packet. He didn't flip through the entire thing, only the top half which was my AOS file. He had stickie notes throughout, didn't get to read...

You can submit your medical examination with the initial application. You can also take it to your interview (sealed) if not asked for it before as a RFE. The exam is not covered by insurance but...

The AOS process is just a straightforward as DACA. I filed the entire package without a lawyer and did not receive a single RFE. My interview was scheduled after three months from initial filing.
