Finally got my green card in hand.. Arrived at my lawyers and I feel like I can finally breath and get to where I want to be.

Anyone know how long it takes to receive Green card after approval? I received my welcome letter and that same day got an update that my GC had been sent.

Because of 241i. Original fee with someone who isn't an EWI at the time was $1,490 add $1,000 for 241i penalty..
Then my lawyer charged $3000 for their attorney fees.

I was covered under 241i, so everything including application fees, lawyer fees and Immigration physical payed about $6,000..
Lawyer was $3,000
Application Fees were $2,490
Immigration physical...

Honestly immigration officials only care about your marriage being legit and that you're not planning on defrauding the government for benefits thru marriage.

The officer asked me first my last 5 years of work history.. I told him what those jobs were and the years and months that I worked there. When you apply, you will have to submit your work history....

After green card. Do we qualify for let's say for example Covered California where we get help paying for insurance based on income and etc. Or does that 5 year ban BS still come into play?

My lawyer sent mine and my wife's Birth certificate. It is always better to be safe and it really can't hurt you... I'd also strongly recommend that you file a work permit just in case. It's free...

My interview is in San Bernardino. I live in LA County but a stones throw away from OC. Far Eastern LA area. My interview location is actually far from my house. 43 miles away.

Mine was 118 days exactly from receipt date Dec 22-2016 to the day I had it in hand.
Everything else is still on case has been received.

Strange, my lawyer called me and told me that my EAD had just arrived at their offices.. Funny how I've received all of my receipt notices at my house but my EAD arrived at their office.

When EAD is updated with "card has been mailed to me" is that the last step or is there one more? I've read on a couple websites that some people get the "USPS has picked up your" update?
