I have always renewed with 2 photos. The renewal instructions list it as a requirement. Whether they need it or not, just sent it to avoid any issues, or delays if your application processing.

I'm not sure what is the system in Nebraska. I know of people who applied after me, with their cases being processed in Nebraska and they are already approved and received new EAD. I am confused.

Mine expires November 30 and I already sent it in.
Chances are if there are no issues, it may be approved by June-July, I lose a few months
but that's okay.

None of us know what will happen when that time comes. As of now, renewals can proceed.
