Oh yes, yes......... Here it goes.

I would not ask for anything in return because this is not a business transaction which requires a give and take. So there's no expectation from my part that the person needs to do something for me in return for helping him get his papers. I'm just not into that lifestyle. : )

Another thing to keep in mind is that young people can be pretty unpredictable, and change their minds very quickly... for no reason whatsoever. That can lead to problems. You and some person might both agree that you want to get married one day, and literally the next day either one of you could call it quits. Just remember that. :P

Since I am a guy, I am particularly interested in knowing what the ladies would ask for. However, guys should also contribute to the discussion.
(I'm a guy)

Only if it was a true relationship, that would be the only case. Other than that, I don't take bribes.

For whatever it's worth, I'm a USC that supports earned citizenship. I have been asked to marry women so they could get citizenship. The people asking were kind of joking, but I don't think 100% joking. I wouldn't do the marriage thing just for citizenship. Besides the whole being against the law thing (as in marrying for greencard) - love is great, but alimony payments can last longer.

EWI have to leave the country and enter legally, activating the ban, however, there may be a hardship waiver that can apply if you can prove that the person needs to be home, i.e., have a child or something.

Overstays can adjust in the country

The whole marriage for greencard thing is something very serious, I would have to hope the other person does not mess anything up or she is deported and banned for life and I have a major fine and a lengthy prison sentence, that transcends any kind of offer they could give. In order for me to take such a risk I better care about the girl, not only that but we are not talking about a minor commitment.
