Along but at some point you will be busted and you will be processed out of the service and you will bedeported with a lifetime ban for falsifying your status for an immigration benefit. There are no waivers for that.
You don't necessarily have to falsify the application, just find a recruiter who is willing to help you, or find somebody who is willing to help you pull some strings.

Like I said before people, ITS RISKY BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE. If I could, i'd be lined up for the military, since some strings can get pulled for me, but i'm way too young to enlist. Don't lose hope you guys!

See, you too knows what you're talking about (no sarcasm). This is what I've been trying to say, it is possible, but there's risks involved.

anyways this thread should get deleted, the Anti's are gonna come here and save the thread. if you can get into the military with the help of a few people and get your status adjusted while doing it id say do it. otherwise the thread is just providing content for those who are against us.

What's the point of enlisting? Even if you get in, you won't be able to adjust your status or use the expedited citizenship method without an alien #.

Unless, like it's been said before, you'll be rewarded your citizenship inside a casket.

Your uncle is wrong. It does not matter If he is a ranking marine officer. Officers do not have the legal authority to bend immigration law. Yes you may slip in but you will get caught eventually and you will pay a steep price. If in the remote chance an undocumented is in the service, it is because they haven't been caught yet. This is nothing but wishful thinking and preying on desperate souls.

Ask your uncle what a recruit should fill out in that part of the application where you state your status. You either tell the truth or falsify it. The regulation is clear, you either be a USC or a PR working on your citizenship.

I don't know if you can join the military currently or not if a person is undcoumented, but the highlighted is certainly incorrect. You're actually speaking of two different forms of US citizenship. One is awarded through military service if entered through the military legally, one posthumously IF you entered the military legally......most importantly all at the discretion of USCIS,not the military.

This is ridiculous.

The recruiter is NOT the only person that looks into your background. They aren't the only ones you have to go through. After the recruiter, there's MEPS. Theyre the ones that make the decision on whether or not you're eligible to enlist.

And it doesn't end there. How are going to pass background checks without a SSN? Get a security clearance? Some USCs don't even get security clearances for having bad credit! How do you think someone who is in the country illegally is going to get it? What about when they look into your medical history? You may be required to get a passport through the military. How are you going to come up with a birth certificate or certificate of naturalization?

My husband is a USC and has had to show his birth certificate and social security card numerous times. They don't accept copies either.

The only way to get away with enlisting would be by lying to the government by using someone else's identity.

Ivan and the other person, stop giving people ideas and false hope. What you're telling them to so is illegal, which is why you won't find a recruiter to "help."

I'm thinking the same thing. Obviously, recruiter is not the one who's handing you citizenship and to think that USCIS would break the law and overlook you when they don't even know you? Also nobody in this thread has actually joined and has gotten citizenship, some just heard so and so got citizenship this way.. I bet some recruiter would let you serve in the army without giving you anything and when you're ready to receive citizenship they would reject you.. or if you're KIA, they'll give you citizenship.. eh, it sounded too good to be true
