Make sure you actually understand the stock market first, don't invest heavily if your a novice. and as for registration to websites like e-trade and Ameritrade you do need alot of information like SSN. But who cares, ask someone you trust and know who has one to make an account for you in their name. My dad has one and I use it all the time.
How much have you won in the stock market ? and does it affect a person who is receiving FASFA ?

My boss does day trading with Scottrade. I know he wasn't required to have a minimum to do day trade, tho they do limit how many transaction you can make. I'll asking him to explain it a bit better and forward you the info.

@FrancoKid

Dude you can open a brokerage account without having a US ID. I just talked to a representative of OptionsXpress and she told me all I needed to open the account was an ITIN number and as far as the ID goes, you can use your passport.

Im going to do that. Hope this helps and good luck!

I finally manage to open an account with zecco.com

First I wanted to open one with optionsxpress but at the end they did require me to have a US ID, so after talking to almost every broker, zecco was the easiest to apply to and got accepted. They will take any government ID you have ( I showed them my passport) and you need an ITIN number. At the end of the application they will ask you to send a copy of the SSN card (even if you put the ITIN number) but just talk to one of the reps and tell them if you can send them a copy of your ITIN letter instead, they will take it and open your account.

That's all you need to do! Happy Trading!

Did you have to visit one of their branch office to do this?
