Passing of the ARMS act correlate to republican lies about "we care about legalizing immigrants"

yes that is a lie. it's obvious that they need human bullet shields for the upcoming Iran war. but hey, for those of us who can take advantage of this opportunity, go ahead.

Yes, because every individual who signs up for the military is 100% sure they're in.

Seriously though, you all have to stop bitching. If the EDUCATIONAL DREAM Act is so great then why hasn't it passed a long time ago? Stop holding half of the Dreamers hostage to your selfish "educational path" interest. You all are no better than the Republicans were fighting against.

You do know this can go both ways? Anyway, no more response from me since I can come up with so much rebuttal with your comment. I still agree 100% with the OP.

Fortunately, your voice doesn't matter in the creation and hopefully passage of this bill. If the OP's logic is to avoid other people from being left behind then hell, we should be going for the CIR bill then right? lol

Oh well you farm workers can keep farming and day laborers keep painting, We, the DREAMERS WILL ENJOY LEGALITY BECAUSE WE ARE THE ELITE.

See what I did there? It can go both ways.

Let the Dreamers risk their life if they want. Stop holding their DREAMS hostage because you are too afraid of joining due to your big college EGO and a "super" bright future that's ahead of you.

Heck WHAT ABOUT THE DREAMERS WHO CANNOT AFFORD COLLEGE in states such as Florida, Georgia, and so forth who desperately want to join the military to have a shot at their future (Their watch is ticking too you know?) Have you EVER Thought of them?? Keep Dreaming DREAMERS.

You all ought to stop living in denial, DREAM ACT has been shot down in the past 10 years what makes you think it'll magically resurrect itself? It's deader than ever. (If that was a word)

This is just shameful and pitiful. I respect your right to express your opinion but this is just outright selfishness. I thought most of you were better than that...

I feel obligated to respond to your accusations because frankly they are personal. First off, how am I holding the ARMS act hostage just for voicing my opinion. Did you by any chance write it and I somehow magically appeared and wrote VOID on the entire bill before you handed your supposed "own" writing to your magical politician in congress. How is it being afraid just because I don't want to sign up for the military. Like everyone else on this planet I have my own choice. I never in my life dreamed of joining the military because it's not for me, and I wouldn't compromise myself just because you feel that I'm afraid of enlisting; that's your problem not mine. I respect the military and all the service members serving this country, but to be quite frank with you I'm still not interested in enlisting. Now I did on the other hand chose the path of being a nurse after seeing my grandfather being taken care of by a homecare nurse on his deathbed.
I was never in any way an egotistic maniac like you have portrayed yourself to be judging from your misdirected attack. I never waved my diploma in front of other people, but I was very happy to walk across the stage to receive it knowing I worked hard and it was something I wanted for myself.
As far as comprehensive immigration is concerned I never spoke against it, in fact I would be glad if it was brought up for a vote along with the DA, but certainly you do know they need it in writing. The DA was shot down in the senate because of political gains. Rome wasn't built in a day. In due process dreams do come true.
When it comes to affordability of college education I can't speak for them, and I'm not boasting about how I could've afforded mine. Certainly everyone's situation is different hence some people choose a different path.
I believe the original post was never to attack the ARMS act, but more to explain the process of how a unified DA can do us justice in the end. I'm sure with your current attack on the full DA version you have created yourself a new forum for the ARMS act? Last time I read the name of this website is Dream Act Portal. Did it magically change with the flick of your wand?

Wow once again people need to chill. This ARMS Act can go both ways, but right now it's just a tool that is being used for the elections. Once again please some of you stop giving in to this political garbage. We must not except anything lower than what the DREAM Act is because that is the mission of this site. I just have to say that with all this I have found out that this DREAM Act thing is really weak because some of its beneficiaries are so willing to accept something else that would leave out so many.

In my opinion the ARMS Act is too troublesome considering the situation with the troops clearing out and the fact that some would be left out that would classify for the act, such as with people with certain medical conditions.

I went back to my country and I seriously think you guys should take it. You know damn well that the full DA isn't passing in the near future. It hasn't passed in over a decade, and sometimes if you compromise you at least get something.

We're not selling two years of college for conditional permanent residency to any Republican any time soon, not because most Americans don't support us (they do), but because the people who actually care about this issue hate us. Those are the people who scream the loudest, at least in Republicans' offices, and as long as they keep it up, we're relying on the liberal and political equivalent of the Tea Party rising from nowhere in the next couple of years. Not impossible, but not something most of us would bet on either.
